Late Shri Karsandas Natha
Shri Karsandas Natha hailed from Kothara Kutch.
His father was Natha Jadavji and uncle was Keshavji Jadavji who had a huge business in Egypt.
They earned a great wealth from the business and were owners of 108 buildings in Mumbai.
Shri Karsandas Natha inherited huge wealth from Keshavji Jadavji, his father.
Keshavji Jadavji had also pledged a huge fund for Bhatia Community.
Karsandas Natha Sanatorium at Prathana Samaj, Mumbai was built by Karsandas during his lifetime.
Shri Karsandas Natha lost his son Madhavdas in 1914 due to plague and established Shri Madhavdas Karsandas Bhatia School (Fort Mumbai) in 1916 in his memory.
After his expiry, his eldest son Shri Vallabhdas Natha managed his wealth.
He was a founder of Shree Bhatia Bal Rakshak Vidyalaya.
He donated a building for Bhatia Boarding at Manohardas street, Fort in 1907.
This building is still standing intact. The institute established by him has completed 100 years and students of this institute have achieved milestones and brought reputation to Vidyalaya.
Late Shri Chatrabhuj Gordhandas
Late Shri Chatrabhuj Gordhandas inherited the mantle of ½ share of the Mooljee Jaitha family including all charitable trusts, running business such as oil, cotton ginning factories, textiles mills etc.
and all other landed properties. He continued the tradition of the Mooljee Jaitha family being philanthropists, charitable and kind at heart and having sharp business acumen.
The begin with, he gave a handsome donation of Rs. 20 lacs for establishment of a Medical College to be named after his father, Gordhandas, which is today known as Seth Goverdhandas Sunderdas Medical College which is associated with King Edward Hospital (K.E.M.) in Mumbai.
Subsequently, he continued buying properties and doing charities.
In addition, through a munificent Donation to Khandesh Education Society in 1948-52. The Mooljee Jaitha College (Jalgaon) was established.
Some of the charities were in the nature of donations to the needy including The Lady Willingdon Maternity Home.
Lying-in Asylum for Bhatia females, which ultimately resulted in establishment of Bhatia General Hospital, charities for the benefit of deaf, dumb and blind, to Vanita Vishram, Bombay, to a temple at Junagadh, for protection of cows at Gokul, for help to a Gujarati School at Cochin, to Bhatia Bal Rakshak Vidyalaya, apart from establishing Dharamshala at Gaya.
He continued the management and operations of Dharamshalas at Jamnagar, Mumbai, Jalgaon, Shri Trivendrum etc.
He was a kind hearted person and a noble soul.
Late Shri Krishnaraj M.D. Thackersey
Shri Krishnaraj M.D. Thackersey, respectfully addressed by all as KMD studies in Bharda New high school – Bombay and graduated from The Elphinstone College in 1930.
He took over the charge of M/s. Thackersey Moolji & Co. in Sep. 1937 after the death of his father. He has served several organizations in various capacities. They are:
